Bonanza - Package Art Rides In for Vol. 1 & Vol. 2 of The Official 1st Season

Both 4-DVD sets coming to town on September 15th

Posted by David Lambert
One of the longest running and most popular of all television westerns, Bonanza was both an action/adventure classic and family drama. For fourteen seasons, audiences enthusiastically tuned in to the High-Sierra adventures of the Cartwright family - wise patriarch Ben Cartwright and his 3 dissimilar sons, Adam, Hoss and "Little Joe" as they attempted to maintain and operate their sprawling timberland ranch, the Ponderosa, in an era of violence and lawlessness in mid-1800's Nevada.
Earlier this month we broke the news that CBS DVD and Paramount Home Entertainment is bringing out Bonanza - The Official 1st Season, Volume 1 on a 4-DVD set, with the first 16 episodes of the show's first season. And that on the same day they'll bring out the remaining 16 first-season episodes on the Bonanza - The Official 1st Season, Volume 2 set, also 4 discs. That date is September 15th, as you probably already know. What you may not have seen yet is the package art for these two titles, because the studios only released these pictures earlier today. Take a look-see:
