Yesterday we
revealed that the release date for
Boardwalk Empire - The Complete 1st Season on DVD and high-def Blu-ray Disc was apparently scheduled for
January 10th. Today HBO Video formally announced the title, confirming the date and also the previously-reported prices of $59.99 SRP for the DVDs, and $79.98 SRP for the Blu-rays (both can be pre-ordered at a discount using the Amazon.com button link below). In addition to that the studio revealed the package art for each version, which is shown at the bottom. The Blu-ray image highlights the 1080p high-definition widescreen video and the English DTS-HD Master Audio. It also mentions the Blu-ray exclusive "enhanced viewing" feature that's included among the extras. Here's a list from HBO of other bonus material you'll find on these 5-disc sets:
