A month ago we
reported about the
April 6th releases of
Blood Ties - The Complete Series on both a 7-disc
DVD version ($39.97 SRP) and a 4-disc high-def
Blu-ray Disc (1.33:1 aspect ratio, in 1080i resolution rather than the previously-reported 1080p; $44.99 SRP). We had previously shown you the front cover art Eagle Rock had provided for the DVD box (seen again at bottom); now we have an exclusive look at the Blu-ray packaging for this upcoming release. How exclusive? I took this picture myself! Note that the key art design is the same as the DVD version, but there are a few differences on the Blu-ray cover design:
CORRECTION (3/20) The back of the box for the Blu-ray notes the Video specs as being "1080i High Definition Letterbox 4x3 (1.33:1)." A representative from Eagle Rock informs us that the package text is mistaken. The exact words we were sent are these: "
That's incorrect, the Blu-ray is 16x9 1080p video (1:78)." Any confusion is regretful.
