At the beginning of last week we
reported that
Blade: The Series - The Complete Series is headed to DVD on
February 12th, including all 13 episodes of the show's run. The 4-DVD set, selling for $39.98 SRP, includes unrated and extended versions of the episodes, featuring "material too graphic for TV" (as shown in the graphic below, taken from a trade magazine ad).
Fans have been wondering if there would be any bonus supplements on this release, and yesterday New Line and Warner Home Video revealed the answer to that question. "Yes." There will be extras on this release: audio commentary tracks and featurettes. Of course, that could also describe the extras included on the previous DVD,
Blade: The Series - House of Chthon (released this past September with just the pilot episode). So we're still not sure if the extras are simply carrying over what was already available, or if there is anything additional made just for this new package. If we find out anything more about this, we'll let you know, so stay tuned!
