A
New York Times article about a new logo for DC Comics (you can see the new logo
here; you'll soon start to see it not only on comics, but also on all related films, shows and TV-DVDs, including
Smallville, etc.) mentions that it will be used for a
Birds of Prey DVD set:
The first comic book with the new symbol is to reach U.S. stores on May 25, with the full library of titles receiving it the following week. The logo will also be featured on toys, direct-to-video cartoons, DVD releases of television programs like "Birds of Prey" and computer games.
Reader Dave Hovenden sent this to us last night, but we wanted to wait and confirm the news with Warner Bros Home Video because of all the false news spread about this show in the past. The response from Warner was, unfortunately, what we feared; they tell use that they still don't have any plans to release the show to DVD at this time.
It's unknown, then, where the writer of the article got the information. But you can read the full article for yourself at the
International Herald Tribune website.
