Big John, Little John is an NBC Classic Kids Comedy from the late 1970's. The show stars Herb Edelman as 'Big John,' a Junior High School science teacher who takes a sip from the fountain of youth. Randomly at the most inopportune moments, 'Big John' becomes a 12 year old version of himself - 'Little John,' played by Robbie Rist. Enjoy for the first time on DVD all sorts of hilarious adventures as Big John tries to find a cure so he can live a normal life!
Virgil Films and Entertainment has announced the
October 13th DVD release of
Big John, Little John. The 1976 series starred Herb Edelman (who later had recurring roles on
St. Elsewhere, The Golden Girls and
Murder, She Wrote) as "Big John" and Robbie Rist (
The Brady Bunch, Galactica 1980 and the voice of "Michelangelo" in the
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles live-action films) as "Little John."
This 2-disc set running 390 minutes contains all 13 episodes of the Saturday morning live-action series created by Sherwood Schwartz (
