With the recent
announcement that Paramount and MTV's Logo would release Rosie O'Donnell's
The Big Gay Sketch Show - The Complete Unrated 2nd Season on DVD this April, many of us overlooked the fact that the first season DVD release was never put out in general retail distribution. At first this past November's release of
The Big Gay Sketch Show - The Complete Unrated 1st Season was
stated by Logo to be only available through their online store, and then on the week of release
we found out that Best Buys were exclusively stocking it in stores. But it never went to retail outlets beyond those!
Now Logo/MTV/Paramount are stating that the 1st Season release will "go wide" on the same day they are releasing the 2nd Season set:
April 29th. Both can be
pre-ordered from Amazon right away. Cost and studio description of the show's first season appear to be the same as the previous exclusives, and we've been sent a long list of extras that are probably identical to the Logo Online Store and the Best Buy releases. Package art hasn't been posted yet, but we expect that not to change, either. Since we've never had a detailed list of Season 1 bonus material to post before, here is what the studio has provided:
