Taking care of kids can be tough on anyone, but watching a busy stand-up comic raise his sister's three children while she's on a "state-sponsored vacation" is enough to make you scream... with laughter! Inspired by his own life experiences, Bernie Mac's outrageous brand of comedy "turns the family sitcom on its head and sets it spinning" (The Washington Post). And now you can share Bernie's hilarious old school ideas of discipline and parenting with the complete first season of "The Bernie Mac Show" on DVD!
It looks like the news we posted on Sunday was correct; Bernie Mac is coming out on May 4th. The 4 disc set will contain all 22 episodes from the first season, and carries a suggested retail price of $49.98 US. The set will contain a 1.33:1 image and English Doly Surround audio along with English and Spanish subtitles. There will be commentary on the Pilot from Bernie Mac, and a 60 minute "A & E Tvography" on the final disc. Those special features seem a little light for a Fox release.
Episodes:
- "Now You Got It," "Pilot," "The Main Event," "Bernie Mac, Ladies Man," "Saving Bernie Mac" and "Here To Stay"
- "A Christmas Story," "Starting School," "Hot Hot Hot," "Wanda's Week Off," "The King and I" and "The Hall Fame"
- "Handle Your Business," "Back in the Day," "Lockdown," "Mac 101," "If Were N-Richard Man" and "Stop Having Sex"
- "Secrets and Lies," "Kelly's Heroes," "Sweet Home Chicago Pt. 1" and "Sweet Home Chicago Pt. 2"
We'll remind you that the cover art has been around for a few weeks, and you can click here to see it.
