We've had a good fan response here at TVShowsOnDVD to our late January
news that
Benny Hill: The Lost Years would come out on DVD in May, bringing back to fans those sketches from Benny's earliest years, with his 1955 show that hasn't ever been broadcast in the United States.
Much to our dismay, though, the fans will have to get by without this release for now (and perhaps forever). We've received word that Warner Home Video, who would distribute this title for the BBC, has put the release on hold. The buzz is that there are some legal issues involved, and that the studio is not sure when the legal approvals will come, or even IF they will be forthcoming.
This title is on indefinate hold, therefore, until and unless all legal issues are cleared for it. Stay tuned, and if we find out that this makes a return to the schedule, we'll be sure to let you know!
