On January 15, 1955, the original version of
The Benny Hill Show began its groundbreaking run on BBC television in the U.K. The show featured Benny and his team in sketches which have never been broadcast in the US, and now - to mark the show's 50th Anniversary - BBC Video and Warner Home Video are teaming up to collect many of these into a DVD called
Benny Hill: The Lost Years.
This hilarious medley contains vintage material from Benny when his cheeky humor established him as one of England's funniest - and naughtiest - comedians. Filled with riotous musical send-ups, fractured fairy tales, wacky commercial spoofs and pitch-perfect impressions, this collection captures the vast range of one of England's most inspired comics! Look for 30 minutes of previously unreleased sketches, plus cast biographies as extras.
