Late in May we
passed along info that Warner is releasing the Tim Burton film
Beetlejuice - 20th Anniversary Deluxe Edition in both a DVD and hi-def Blu-ray Disc version. The reason we reported on this is because the release includes 3 episodes of the
Beetlejuice Saturday morning animated series on board as extras. Yes, on both versions of the release (though the cartoons would be in standard def, even on the hi-def Blu-ray release).
So we've just got a quick note for you today, in case word hadn't reached you yet: the DVD version is still scheduled to come out on the announced date,
September 16th. However, Warner has alerted retailers that the Blu-ray Disc release is no longer coming out day-and-date with the
DVD version. Instead,
the Blu-ray version will hit stores a few weeks later, on
October 7th. For those of our readers who want the high-def version, we wanted to make sure you knew!
