Last Monday we
reported on Paramount's announcement of a
September 30th release for
Beauty and the Beast - The Complete Series, a 16-DVD set with every episode from all 3 seasons of the show. Detailed info wasn't available at the time, but now we've learned from retailer sources that this release will indeed be in a new, collectible packaging. The studio hasn't finalized that design yet, but they sent retailers a preliminary look at their planned front cover layout. You can see that below, but please bear in mind that it is still subject to change.
We've also learned that there WILL be brand-new special features included on this new
Beauty and the Beast - The Complete Series DVD release. No details have surfaced yet, however, on what they will be. The list price is $89.98, but you can
pre-order it from Amazon as of this writing for $62.99, after discount. Here's that early box art:
