Beast Machines: Transformers - Rhino Distributes Beast Machines Sell Sheet & Amazon Re-Lists The Title

Posted by David Lambert
1/22/2006

We've been following the DVD release of Beast Machines: Transformers very closely, and kept you updated about the February 28th release date and reported that the reason for the delay was to ensure that the release was made available in the proper aspect ratio (which turns out to be full frame; see the previous news story for details). Along the way we mentioned how retailers were no longer listing the title properly since it was delayed from release last November. Amazon, for example, acted like the box set did indeed street back then (it didn't) but that it's always out of stock.

Well, forget that previous Amazon listing, because now they have made a new pre-order listing for Beast Machines: Transformers - The Complete Series, and this one properly showing the February 28th release date. Pre-order price from them is $41.99, a nice 30% discount from the list price.

And Rhino has finally sent out a sell sheet for this title as well! There's really not much new information in it, but it certainly eases the mind to see it all made official. The sell sheet fails to mention an extra that Rhino told us about directly: an episode commentary with Marv Wolfman. We're not sure why that got left out of the official info on the sell sheet, but we've got what the sell sheet says reproduced below (though we'll admit to editing some of Rhino's bullet points together into regular sentences, to have the info make more sense to our audience instead of the retail chain buyers it was aimed at). We'll all be glad to finally get this package!
