If you read
our article today called "FOLLOW-UP to the 6/25 'Massive Rhino Update': The REAL DEAL with
TF: Energon, Headmasters, Visionaries, etc.," then you realize that we snuck in some
Beast Machines news in there. In case you missed it, here is what's happening:
Rhino is considering the idea of
Beast Machines season sets in 2005, to follow up on the 8/24 release of
Beast Wars - Season 3 (see separate news item). It's not firm yet, but they're looking at it.
In the meantime, there IS a Canadian release of
Beast Machines Transformers - Episodes 1-5 that's coming out on
August 10th. The Canadian branch of Amazon has it up for pre-order (
click here) for $11.98 CAN (approximately $8.94 US), but it's shown to be coming from a distributor called "Hgv Video Production" (it was previously said to be from "Fox"). I'm not familar with "Hgv" myself.
If you live in the United States, don't forget that this is all "Region 1," and you can order it from Amazon.ca using your same account as you use for Amazon.com, pay with a credit card, and it will come straight to your door and work on your standard DVD player. No special work requried; just a slightly higher shipping fee (and perhaps a slightly longer shipping wait, depending on the method you choose).
According to EpGuides.com, the first five episodes would be "The Reformatting," "Master of the House," "Fires of the Past," "," "Mercenary Pursuits," and "Forbidden Fruit." Cover art and other details aren't available yet, but stay tuned and we'll let you know when we get these things.
