At the beginning of last week Sony
announced the
August 18th DVD release of
The Beast, starring Patrick Swayze. Originally titled "The Complete 1st Season," they've taken that part off in light of
the show's recent cancellation. Now simply labeled "
The Beast on the newly-revealed box art, the DVD contains all 13 episodes, plus 13 Behind-the-Scenes Featurettes, on a 3-disc set. Video is anamorphic widescreen, and audio options are English 5.1, Spanish 2.0 and Portuguese 2.0. Subtitles are Spanish, French and Portuguese, plus closed captioning for the hearing impaired. Running time is 590 minutes, and cost is $39.95 SRP. Here's the front and rear box art:
