We have some very bad news for people interested in the 2
Baywatch releases coming out in a few weeks; there are episodes missing, and the music has been replaced (including the theme song). The first season set is missing "Nightmare Bay" and the second season set is missing "River of No Return," the episode that introduced Pamela Anderson. The episodes couldn't be included because another company (Lionsgate) owns the rights to them (see the previously-released, now out of print DVD for
details).
We've also learned that the music has been replaced, though we don't know the extent of it. We can confirm that the theme song is different from the one used on the show.
Can we all say "OUCH!"? Or maybe "cancel that order!" is more appropriate. At least the low price (about $20 in stores) reflects the content; they aren't trying to pass an incomplete, music-edited set off with a high price tag.
