We've gotten info from more than one retailer that Universal will shortly be announcing an HD-DVD version of
Battlestar Galactica - Season 1. The release date they give us is unanimous, too, although each of them caution us that it's still subject to change. But the date is
September 18th, we hear.
What's the current state of "TV on Hi-Def Discs"? I've got a write-up about that
at the TVShowsOnDVD blog (the site-oriented one, with its first update in a couple of months). Taking a cold, hard look at it, it seems that Blu-ray format may have the edge over the HD-DVD, but still the format war rages on. Head on over, and be sure to tell us what you think, okay?
