Late yesterday
The Hollywood Reporter's column "The Live Feed," by James Hibberd,
posted new details about the
July 28th releases of
Battlestar Galactica - The Complete Series and
Battlestar Galactica - Season 4.5, both of which
we've reported will be available on either DVD or high-def Blu-ray Disc.
The Live Feed confirms previous information that
Season 4.5, for both the
DVD and the
Blu-ray Disc, "
includes 13 hours of extras such as three extended episodes that never aired on television, behind-the-scenes featurettes and audio commentaries by producers Ronald D. Moore and David Eick.." No further details about it were supplied in this report.
On the other hand, The Live Feed supplies quite a bit of details about the supplements for
The Complete Series. The article supplies the extras exclusive to the 20-disc
Blu-ray Disc version first, and then those which will be found both on the Blu version and the 25-disc standard
DVD version as well, so we'll preserve that order. Be sure to read the original report for some additional insight into these releases!
We're supposing that the list of extras shown below are those that are "new to
The Complete Series" (and we could therefore assume that most, if not perhaps all, of these are also probably included in the
Season 4.5 releases, too). PLUS
The Complete Series sets would also very likely include all the previous extras from the already-released season sets as well, of course. Just an assumption at this point, however; the report at
The Hollywood Reporter doesn't make that aspect of it crystal-clear.
