We have gotten A TON of e-mail from readers, telling us that the price was listed incorrectly at online retailer Amazon.com for the upcoming December 4th release of Battlestar Galactica - Razor. It has an official studio list price of $26.98, but Amazon thought it was list-pricing at a whopping $59.99, meaning that their discounted price was almost ten buck over the MSRP.
Wow, we understood everyone's frustration and wanted to help, but even though Amazon is an affiliate online retail partner of ours, there was very little we could do to get it corrected, other than inform their customer service number and inform Universal. But so many of you wrote, that we even addressed it in a previous news story a couple of weeks ago. We've been watching it daily since then.
Well, our constant surveillance has paid off! Sometime between last night and this morning, Amazon has corrected their pre-order listing for Battlestar Galactica - Razor. It now shows a correct SRP of $26.98, and your discounted cost is $19.99 as of this writing. Anyone who has already pre-ordered this, you should get an adjustment as Amazon's policy is to automatically give you the lower of the two prices between the time you order it, and the day it ships. Of course, they don't charge you until it ships out.
Our thanks to everyone for their patience, and while we can't say we did much here to affect things, we're glad to tell you this is finally resolved. At the end of this week, the cover art should be revealed for this item as a result of the poll taken up until last week at Sci Fi's website. Stay tuned and we'll bring that to you as soon as we get it.
For those of you who are looking for season 3; still no word on that yet.
