Last week Fox Home Entertainment issued their
press release for the
July 1st Blu-ray Disc release of
Batman: The Movie, the 1966 theatrical version of the Adam West/Burt Ward series pitting the Dynamic Duo against their four biggest villians: The Joker, The Penguin, The Riddler and Catwoman.
There will be a $39.98 SRP release of just the film on Blu-ray Disc (loaded with extras, which are detailed in the press release), and also a Limited Edition (only 5000 copies) package that puts the Blu-ray Disc with a Hot Wheels-produced 1/18th scale Batmobile, priced at $59.98 SRP.
We don't have package art yet for the Limited Edition release yet, but this morning Fox has made box art available for the regular Blu-ray Disc release, and we've got that picture for you below:
