Gotham City crime czars Scarface and Rupert Thorne battle evil masterminds like the Joker and the Penguin for money, power and respect. Kidnappings rise as foe-versus-foe attacks become more vindictive. And just when you thought you knew the good guys from the bad, the craziest villains try to go straight, triggering one dangerous blowout after another. Amidst all the terror one man walks the fine line between vengeance and justice as often as he balances his crimefighting persona and his billionaire playboy public life. This is the Batman series that introduced a new kind of super hero - cool, composed, uncompromising. Your Batman collection won't be complete without this compilation!
Batman will be performing double-duty on May 24 when he appears in SuperFriends Season 2 and Batman: The Animated Series Volume 3! This release is timed to coincide with the 6/17 theatrical release of Batman Begins starring Christian Bale in the title role, and a wonderful list of supporting actors including Michael Caine, Liam Neeson, Morgan Freeman, Gary Oldman, Katie Holmes, Rutger Hauer and Ken Watanabe.

Fans of the previous releases know what to expect with Volume 3; Full Frame (1:33:1) video, English, French and Spanish Dolby Stereo Surround audio tracks, and matching subtitles. The 4 disc set has a running time of 609 mins, though we expect that to be an error since there are 29 episodes left, and previous sets ran 624 and 625 mins long, and contained 28 episodes.

We've compiled a list of the missing episodes and guessed at the order in which they may appear, based on the previous 2 releases:
  1. 557 Shadow of the Bat
  2. 561 Shadow of the Bat, Part II
  3. 558 Blind as a Bat
