About a month ago we
showed off an online trailer and a trade ad that brought you the first look at package art for
Batman: Gotham Knight, the direct-to-video feature from DC Comics and Warner Home Video that's coming in a single-DVD version, and double-DVD special edition, and a Blu-ray Disc special edition. All three versions will be available to own on
July 8th, and the six interlocking stories which make up
Gotham Knight will help bridge the gap between
Batman Begins and the upcoming theatrical film
The Dark Knight.
Earlier this month Warner sent
a detailed look at the box for the single-disc DVD release, but we've been patiently waiting for the high-resolution box art for the 2-DVD Special Edition and the Blu-ray Disc Special Edition versions. A little while ago today, Warner made both of those available, and included rear cover art for all three version as well. As you can see, the front cover for the two Special Edition versions had gotten revised from what was previously shown in the retailer trade ad. Fans didn't seem to like that there were two different Batman pictures on the original key art, so Warner has listened up and made a change on the final packaging. We've got it all for you below...enjoy!
