Bat Masterson - Gene Barry's Classic '50s/'60s Show to Get a New 8-DVD Collection

Available to own in the second half of October

Posted by David Lambert
This popular American Western TV series provided a fictionalized account of the real-life marshal/gambler Bat Masterson. Masterson is depicted with satirical wit as a superbly dressed frontier lawman, generally outfitted in a black suit and derby hat, who is more inclined to bat crooks over the head with his gold-knobbed cane than to shoot them. Masterson roams the West, charming women and defending the unjustly accused.
TGG Direct is a relatively new "player" in the TV-on-DVD field, and we've recently gotten in touch with them to begin finding out more about their offerings so we can fill in you, our readers. Earlier titles already available, with limited distribution at first but now more widespread, include Bat Masterson - The Best of Season 1 and The Best of Season 1, Volume 2, both two-disc releases. Today (see button link below) has begun listing a new TGG title, however: Bat Masterson - 24 Hour Television Marathon, an 8-DVD collection priced at just $29.96 SRP. It will be available soon, on October 23rd, and the package art can be seen below. Our thanks to all the readers who wrote us about this topic.
