USAToday revealed that
Barney Miller was on it's way to DVD. No timeline or other information was given; just that the almost 30-year-old show was in-the-pipe for digital release.
Columbia has let it be known that on November 10th they will themselves publicly announce their
Barney Miller - The First Season DVD set, which is when you'll find out when you can buy it, how much it costs, and what they will do to promote this beloved classic show's first DVD release.
There is some preliminary artwork floating around that is just a "placeholder" thing, and not the final cover art at all. The studio was very specific in saying that the package shown was subject to be changed. So don't put any stock in unofficial art or info, and tune in to TVShowsOnDVD the morning of Nov. 10th to find out when you can join the force and hang out with Hal Linden as Captain Barney Miller, and also Wojo, Harris, Yemana, Luger, and Abe Vigoda as Det. Fish.
