Back in the Fall of 2002, Warner attempted to jump back into the
Looney Tunes business with a new series called
Baby Looney Tunes. It ran about two seasons, and was successful enough to inspire a direct-to-video movie that was released in February 2003, called
Baby Looney Tunes - Eggs-Traordinary Adventure. We should point out that the DVD in question also contained two "bonus" cartoon shorts taken from the actual series: "Flower Power" and "The Magic Of Spring." Since then, the show has been quiet on the DVD front.

That's about to change on
March 7th, when Warner releases
Baby Looney Tunes - Volume 1: Playday Pals. This single-DVD release compiles a handful of themed shorts together for $14.97 SRP. There will also be a
Volume 2: Let's Play Pretend DVD released, probably on the same day or not long afterward. These releases are timed to coincide with a re-launch of the "Baby Looney Tunes" property on clothing, toys, books, and baby products.
Besides the shorts, the DVDs will also contain a pair of the music videos which were always included in each half-hour episode of the show. This is a version of Bugs, Daffy, Taz, Tweety, and more which is designed for a preschool audience, and so there is a lot of singing, laughter, and sweetness designed into this version of the Looney Tunes. We should have more details in the not-too-distant future, as the studio information (including larger cover art) comes through. Stay (looney) tuned!
