The other day
we posted news that the '60s
Astroboy would be coming to DVD, based on information that Anchor Bay had posted in their "Future Releases" section. It turns out that information was incorrect, and it's the '80s
Astroboy that they're releasing through Manga Entertainment (another IDT company).
AnimeNewsNetwork.com was able to get more information on the set coming from Manga. It'll be a 7 disc set containing all 52 cartoons, featuring English and Japanese audio tracks, and English subtitles. The set will retail for $59.98 and will be available on
November 22.
