Sony has
previously announced a group of individual DVD releases (Volumes 1 through 5) of the 2003
Astro Boy remake cartoon series, but we've learned that these have been delayed. Originally scheduled for August 18th, Sony officially informed retailers yesterday that the new date is "TBD" (to be decided).
However, VideoETA - a website produced by distributor Ingram Entertainment - now shows that all of these new single-disc titles are coming out on
September 15th. No reason was given for the change, but it's probable that the goal is to move these closer to the Oct. 23rd theatrical debut of the new CGI
Astro Boy film.
