Following yesterday's tragic events at Fort Hood, Texas (we would, by the way, like to extend our sympathies to everybody at the base, as well to the friends and families of the victims), it seems more than appropriate that today turned out to be the day ABC/Disney happens to have planned for the announcement of
Army Wives - The Complete 3rd Season on DVD. After all, this show is dedicated to relating stories about what the families of soldiers go through, as their loved ones go out there in harm's way. So, at first blush, the timing of this announcement may seem odd...but we think it's actually pretty fair in the end. And the announcement was planned for today long before yesterday's events, so if it IS bad timing, then the studio is a victim of that timing, too.
Army Wives - The Complete 3rd Season is coming to DVD from ABC/Disney on
February 9th. This 5-disc set includes all the episodes plus 6 Webisodes, Deleted Scenes, Bloopers, a "Stationed in the South" Featurette and another Featurette about "
Army Wives Gives Back". Guest stars in these 18 episodes include Kelly Hu (
Sunset Beach, Martial Law), Susan Walters (
