It's the ultimate job interview. It's not personal, it's just business with Donald Trump, as he searches through a crowd of applicants to find the right person to hire as President of one of his companies. Over 20 million viewers watched
The Apprentice during its rookie year, making it the hottest new show of the 2003-04 season and the new powerhouse on NBC Thursday nights. Of course, that's not a strange situation for the Creator and Executive Producer of this show, Mark Burnett, who's also the Executive Producer of
Survivor.
Now NBC has partnered with Universal in their recent merger, and has given Universal Studios Home Video the job of bringing this hot reality show to DVD.
August 24th is the release date for
The Apprentice - The Complete 1st Season, which coincides with the timeframe
we reported on previously.
List price is $59.98 for a 5-DVD set. Picture is 1.33:1 and sound will be in English Dolby Digital 5.1 Surround. Subtitles are available in French and Spanish, with English captioning for the hearing impaired.
So far this morning the details are thin, and we don't know yet what extras - if any - will be on this release. And the small-ish cover art below is all we have at this time. But stay tuned, and we'll update you here with any more information we get.
