Yesterday we
had the announcement that
Animaniacs - Volume 1 will escape from the water tower on
July 25th. At the time we informed you that the audio is English, with subtitles in English, French and Spanish. Since then we've had a major update about the language specs!
Sound will be available in English: Dolby Surround 5.1, English: Dolby Surround Stereo 2.0 and in Brazilian Portuguese Mono 1.0. There won't be English subtitles, but the French and Spanish subs will be joined with Brazilian Portuguese subtitles. It's a bummer for some of you that the English subs aren't there, we know. However, the package is closed captioned for the hearing impaired.
Also, Warner has provided a
a trailer showing off both
Animaniacs - Volume 1 and
Pinky and the Brain - Volume 1, available in both Windows Media Player and Real Player. Check it out. Stay tuned for final details about extras, and hi-res final cover art as well. In the meantime, we've determined from the trailer that the artwork below (a bit bigger than yesterday's thumbnail-sized shot) is the correct front cover art, instead of the picture shown at TLA:
