The mini-series that won 5 Golden Globe awards,
Angels In America, is coming to DVD on June 1, as we
previously reported. The mini-series stars Al Pacino, Meryl Streep, and Emma Thompson. We now have the cover art for this 2-DVD set:
There are no announced extras on this release. The first DVD in the package will contain Part 1 of the mini-series, "Millenium Approaches," and the other DVD contains Part 2, "Perestroika." This is the same way that the Tony-award-winning play's story (which itself won a Pulitzer Prize - this has been a highly honored work!) was split into two books. People familiar with Tony Kushner's story should feel right at home with this mini-series.
To recap the specs: Video is anamorphic widescreen. Audio is English 5.1, English 2.0, or Spanish 2.0. Subtitles are English, Spanish, and French, plus closed captioning. The running time is 352 minutes, and the suggested list price is $39.98.
