"AMERICA'S TEST KITCHEN: SEASON 11" on DVD. Join once again Christopher Kimball, founder of the magazines
Cook's Illustrated and
Cook's Country, and the cast of
"America's Test Kitchen" to learn the basics of great home cooking. Epicurean enthusiasts purchasing this DVD will learn recipes that will work the first time they are tried thanks to the dozens of cooks who develop, refine, and test recipes again and again until they arrive at the very best versions.
"AMERICA'S TEST KITCHEN: SEASON 11" will be available on DVD July 12, 2011 for a suggested retail price of $39.95. The program comes on four discs and has a running time of 676 minutes.
Program Synopsis
"America's Test Kitchen" is the most-watched cooking show on public television. In addition to the popular segments that viewers have come to love and trust, such as equipment reviews, taste tests, and foolproof recipes, the 11th season has even more content, a new segment, and numerous visits with well-loved chefs!
The test kitchen chefs cook America's favorite recipes from
Cook's Illustrated magazine and deconstruct each recipe to reveal the test kitchen secrets to foolproof cooking at home. This season includes 52 all-new recipes, including ultimate chocolate cupcakes, simple pot roast, classic bread pudding, indoor pulled pork, Chicago-style deep dish pizza, sweet cherry pie, easier fried chicken, almost hands-free risotto, foolproof grilled tuna, and more.
The show is filmed in the test kitchen of
Cook's Illustrated magazine, located just outside Boston. Christopher Kimball and the test cooks solve everyday cooking problems, test equipment in order to save people money on gadgets that don't work, and taste supermarket ingredients to save home cooks time at the store. It's a common-sense, practical approach not present in other cooking shows.
