Last night the
Home Theater Forum held an online chat with a group of executives from Warner Home Video. Among the questions asked and answered was this one by me, who got in with the 3rd question of the night (a typical long-winded multiple-part question from yours truly!):
(DavidLambert) Please tell me everything you can about your upcoming TV-on-DVD releases. Anything on Night Court or V: The Series? What's going on with superhero shows like Adv's/Superman, Flash, WonderWoman, Birds/Prey, Lois&Clark? Any new surprises coming out soon? There's a lotta TV ?'s out there tonight...now's the chance to spill your guts! :) Done.
(warnerbros) V is coming. So is ADVENTURES OF SUPERMAN (reeves) although there are still element issues regarding that. WONDER WOMAN is coming this year. Our TV exec is not in the room yet and hopefully we can answer more of these questions shortly. Done.
This makes more sense of the reply we at TVShowsOnDVD got when we inquired about this before. On 2/16 we posted
this news that we'd asked Warner to respond to rumors about this show, and they said this "won't be coming out in 2004".
Now we know that the hold-up is restoring the film elements of this aging series. We'll be the first to congratulate Warner for wanting to clean it up and do it right, and not just foist any old awful-looking print on the fans of this beloved show. Thanks for taking the time to do it right!
Other portions of my very long question were answered later in the chat. We'll go over them with our in-depth look at the entire chat, which will happen in the very near future. This was just a quick update for you about the chat. We'll have more in-depth coverage of the HTF/Warner chat, and a link to a transcript of it, very soon. So stay tuned!
