1955's
Adventures of Robin Hood program, starring Richard Greene as the leader of the Merry Men, ran on British television's ITV and came to the USA on the CBS network. Donald Pleasence ("Dr. Loomis" in the
Halloween films) plays Robin's ultimate nemesis, Prince John.
Doctor Who's 2nd Doctor, Patrick Troughton, appears in a recurring role and so does Edward Mulhare, who played "Devon Miles" in the original
Knight Rider series.
Over the course of the show's 4-season run, you'll also notice Alfie Bass, who played "Mr. Goldberg" in
Are You Being Served?, and an early-career pair of appearances by Leo McKern, who went on to appear on more television (
The Prisoner, Rumpole of the Bailey and in films (
Help!, The Omen, The Blue Lagoon, Ladyhawke).

March 18th release of
