The 1972 British show
The Adventures of Black Beauty, which was broadcast on ITV for two seasons, was a continuation of the story in Anna Sewell's classic book. It ran for two seasons (or series, as they say in the U.K.), each with 26 episodes.
The first season starred Judi Bowker, who went on to play "Andromeda" in the classic 1981 film
Clash of the Titans. Other stars include William Lucas (who appeared in a 1984
Doctor Who arc) and Michael Culver (best remembered as "Captain Needa" in
Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back).
