Adam-12 - Early Heads-Up Says to Expect the 3rd Season Set from Shout! Factory

DVD producer spills the beans to 'naysayers' in a public message board

Posted by David Lambert
After a three-year absence from store shelves since Universal released the first season in 2005, this past September saw Shout! Factory's release of the second season DVDs for Adam-12. Word that has reached us here is that fans are extremely happy with that set, and have been hoping that Shout! continues with further collections of the classic cop show.

Those hopes apparently translated into impatience for one grumpy-sounding poster at the Sitcoms Online message board. In a thread dedicated to discussing Shout! Factory "appreciation," he complained that "there isn't any sign of movement on S3 of 'Adam-12' yet." His comments were directly answered there by Shout! Factory DVD Producer Brian Ward, who assures him that they have "already begun work" on Adam-12 - Season 3 DVDs, and to look for it later in 2009.

That's great to know, and we just knew it was something that we had to pass along to everyone who visits our site. Our thanks to longtime reader (and ever-helpful) Bob Huggins, for making sure we had seen the info. We'll naturally bring you updates about Shout!'s release of the third season set, as work progresses and the particulars of this collection get finalized. Stay tuned!
