DVDPlanet has revealed
via pre-order listing that
3rd Rock from the Sun - Season 2 is scheduled to arrive in a 4-DVD set on
October 25th. List price is $39.98, but the e-tailer is already preselling it at just $27.97.
This season had 24 episodes, including a double-length season opener and a double-length season finale. Guest stars included NBA star Dennis Rodman (playing an alien, natch), NFL coach Mike Ditka,
Star Trek's George Takei as himself,
Star Wars' Mark Hamill as himself,
M*A*S*H's (and
Dragnet's) Harry Morgan,
Saturday Night Live's Al Franken and Laraine Newman,
Laugh-In's Dick Martin,
The Tonight Show's Jay Leno,
Cybill's Christine Baranski, and singer/songwriter Randy Newman (
Monk theme song,
Toy Story) as himself.
