The Complete Second Season

New York, NY (May 30, 2008) - This July, the second season of Morgan Spurlock's reality series 30 Days is coming to DVD. Created and hosted by "Super Size Me" filmmaker Morgan Spurlock, each episode features an individual taken out of their environment for 30 days and placed into a radically different one...one that is contrary to their point of views and normal lifestyle. Episodes in the 2-disc DVD Set include: "Immigration", "Outsourcing", "New Age", "Pro-Life, Pro-Choice", "Atheist/Christian" and "Jail." In the final episode, Spurlock is also a participant as he turns the camera on himself and goes to "Jail." Distributed by Arts Alliance America, 30 Days will be released July 1, 2008 for a suggested retail price of $29.95.

"The topics for this season of 30 Days are the most pressing social issues facing our country," said executive producer R.J. Cutler. "While the media covers them in broad strokes, 30 Days presents these issues in real terms with real people living well outside of their comfort zones."

  • Episode 1 "Immigration" - A gun-toting, border-patrolling Minuteman, experiences what it is like to be an illegal immigrant when he's stripped of all forms of identification and moves in with a family of undocumented immigrants for one month. During his 30 Days experience, he will live with the family of illegal immigrants in their one bed-bedroom apartment, work as a handyman, attend a pro-immigration rally and travel to Mexico to visit the family's former home.
  • Episode 2 "Outsourcing" - When a computer programmer's life is turned upside down after he loses his lucrative job to the outsourcing phenomenon, he decides to spend one month in Bangalore, India, the outsourcing mecca of the world to find out what happened to his job. As part of his 30 Days experience, he will live with an Indian family who work at a telemarketing call center in positions that were outsourced from U.S. jobs. In order to witness firsthand the impact out-sourcing has had on Indian Culture, he will also go through the lengthy training process involved in landing a job in a call center - a position that's respected and well regarded in India.
  • Episode 3 "Atheist/Christian" - An Atheist travels to Bible-Belt territory in Texas and moves in with a fundamentalist Christian family for one month. For 30 Days, her way of thinking is challenged as she is confronted by the Christian family's circle of friends and fellow churchgoers. She engages the family in lively debates, as they try to comprehend a life without religion and faith in God.
  • Episode 4 "New Age" - A stressed-out workaholic with anger management issues attempts to gain inner peace and spiritual enlightenment when he commits himself to a 30-day regimen of New Age exploration. Under the guidance of a life coach, he experiences a variety of New Age therapies including yoga, acupuncture and Reiki therapy, which is a Japanese healing technique. He attends a spring equinox ritual, a tribal dancing class and a tantric intimacy workshop with his girlfriend.
  • Episode 5 "Pro-Life, Pro-Choice" - A pro-choice feminist who currently works as an administrative assistant and a counselor at a women's health clinic lives at a Christian, pro-life maternity home for one month. As part of her 30 Days experience, she will follow the regimented schedule of the home, work in its pregnancy crisis center, and participate in various pro-life activities supported by the maternity home.
  • Episode 6 "Jail" - Series creator Morgan Spurlock is the final participant in the second season of 30 Days, and will give up his comfortable home as well as his freedom in order to experience life in a 10-foot by 8-foot cell. For 30 Days, Morgan will be incarcerated at the Henrico County Jail in Richmond Virginia, he will experience 72 hours in solitary confinement, work 15-hour shifts in the kitchen and be allowed only one hour a week for exercise. Morgan's 30 Days experience will explore prison overcrowding, the business of incarceration and the need for better rehabilitation for those behind bars.
