Several weeks ago
we let you know that
18 Kids and Counting, TLC's reality show about the Duggar Family, is coming to DVD for the first time. We know this thanks to
an Amazon pre-order listing for the set, scheduled to arrive on
February 23rd. Now the distributor, Gaiam Americas, has filled us in further about this release! It will be a 3-disc set running 440 minutes for 20 episodes. The show debuted under the title
17 Kids and Counting, but changed the name soon into the second season, thanks to a new bundle of joy being delivered! So the official DVD name is
18 Kids and Counting - Season 2, which is appropriate because the first season would start with "17" in the title. TLC/Gaiam is starting the DVD releases with the second year of the show, though, rather than the first (probably because most fans are very interested in the new baby and other more current developments).
