NBC's recent event mini-series, 10.5, is coming to DVD in just a few months. Lions Gate has confirmed a Video Store Magazine note that the sweeps stunt is coming to DVD on Tuesday, August 24th.
The 4-hour tale starred Kim Delaney (NYPD Blue), Fred Ward, John Schneider (Dukes of Hazzard, Smallville), Kaley Cuoco (8 Simple Rules), Dulé Hill (The West Wing), Ivan Sergei (Crossing Jordan), and Beau Bridges as The President. It told the story of Dr. Samantha Hill (Delaney), an intellectual earthquake expert put to the ultimate test: saving the West Coast from the biggest earthquake ever recorded.
All I can say is that I hope Lions Gate puts a 5.1 Dolby Surround soundtrack on the DVD, because it might be a cool way to give my subwoofer a workout! Stay tuned, and we'll have more for you about this release when it's available. Our thanks to the various readers who e-mailed us on this one.
