FlashForward - Not-Too-Flashy Front Box Art Revealed for Season 1, Part 1 on DVD

2-disc set with 10 episodes will jump into our heads on February 23rd

A few weeks ago we brought you the announcement from Walt Disney Studios Home Entertainment, that FlashForward - Season 1, Part 1 is coming to DVD format on February 23rd. This contains the first ten episodes of the show, just in time for the remainder of the program's rookie season to begin airing on ABC. Look for the rest of the episodes from this debut season to come to DVD just in time for the studio to promote the second season's broadcast premiere (perhaps along with a "complete first season" Blu-ray, but nothing about that has been firmly announced by the studio so far, so please take that part with a grain of salt).

ABC/Disney has now revealed the package art for FlashForward - Season 1, Part 1 on DVD (2 discs, 420 minutes), and we've got a look at that for you below. Readers who have seen this cover posted at Amazon (see button link below) over the holiday weekend haven't been very complementary about it; we have to agree over here. My family and I watch the show faithfully; we're high-level fans of the series. Gord, on the other hand, hasn't caught the show yet, and interestingly enough we both had the same reaction to this cover art: "lame." As a non-fan, Gord didn't feel the art would entice him into buying a DVD of a show he doesn't know much about. As a huge fan of the program, I can see that the front cover mimics the logo used in the series, but I realize that it doesn't really convey much about the (very good!) story. My opinion is that the episodes are much better than this picture lets on, so if you're interested at all then don't let the box deter you from giving it a try. That's our take on it, anyway.
