On November 17, A&E Home Entertainment and The Jim Henson Company will release FARSCAPE: THE COMPLETE SERIES MEGASET, a never-before-available 26-disc DVD compilation featuring all four fan-favorite seasons and over 15 hours of bonus programming. Now, A&E is proud to bring fans the news of an exclusive version of this highly-anticipated set, to be released day-and-date for $149.95 SRP exclusively at Best Buy. The limited-edition run of 5000 Collector's Edition gift sets will bring together the venerated program, along with THE PEACEKEEPER WARS, the three-hour mini-series originally created, in part, due to popular demand and vigorous fan campaigning when the series ended in 2003.
In the mini-series, John Crichton (Ben Browder) and the crew of the Moya find themselves in the middle of a war-to-end-all-wars between the evil lizard-like Scarrans and their rivals, the Peacekeepers. Crichton is the lynchpin in all of this, as his knowledge of "wormhole technology" is coveted by all, including his old nemesis Scorpius (Wayne Pygram), with whom Crichton must now form an uneasy alliance.
Broadcast over two nights on the Sci-Fi Channel and released as a standalone DVD, this addition to the FARSCAPE MEGASET is certain to appeal to the legions of loyal fans and true completeists of the innovative series.
